Can anyone tell me why the Phantom BOM check box is grayed out on a part for multiple plants. I can uncheck it for one plant but no the other. I have no idea why is is grayed out.
thanks

Is the part a manufactured type in all Plants? Waht settings do you have for the Quantity Bearing and Non-Stock flags?
This is my issue…Now I could update the part via DMT to get the Phantom BOM removed and then update properly…
To change a part to a phantom you have to …
· Deselect Quantity Bearing
· Select Non-Stock
· Select Phantom (can’t select until non stock is selected).
· Which makes part Std cost & Grays out Non-Stock (can’t deselect until deselect phantom).
There has always been a problem at the plant level. The Phantom requires a std cost but you can’t change with two plants. We have to delete GSO plant, change WBG plant and then add back GSO (will default with phantom setup).
The following part masters are busted. The phantom box is selected (and grayed out) and the Non-Stock is grayed out, but it is NOT selected. You can’t select the Non-Stock and you can’t deselect the phantom.
I did some quick testing on my system (9.05.702A) and I can change that flag at will. What version are you on? I seem to recall something about this in the past and maybe there was an SCR for it.
same version 9.05.702A
Is the QOH zero in all plants?
Can you change the Qty Bearing, and Non-Stock flags one plant at a time, as opposed to changing them on the “master” where the settings trickle down to the enabled plants?
Hmmm…i didn’t think about hte QOH. I will check but I bet there is some on hand.
A QOH prevents you from un-selecting QTY bearing
makes sense…just wasn’t thinking…
