Planned Scrap compared to Actual Scrap per Operation

I struggle with the fact that Vantage does not sum the total scrap
reported to the JobOper table.

Like JobOper.QtyCompleted, we have the need to sum the total
LaborDtl.ScrapQty so I can compare it to the planned scrap to see how
we are doing. If we are not utilizing the planned scrap qty, I can
reduce the amount of qty needed to complete the operation thus reducing
time and materials to lessen the cost of the operation.

I think BPM might be a way to accomplish this. I was thinking of
writing an accumulated total to a VB field on the JobOper, but I cannot
be the only one that has this business requirement....

Has anyone attempted this?
