We had a similar issue. I would recommend checking the order of your processes in the scheduler. If you are running MRP every night that the planning process (forget the exact name) is run after the MRP process. Also, make sure the MRP process is completing.

Lately we have been having a problem. Orders are enter, (make direct),
but when we go to Planning Workbench, and select new...about 50-75% of
the time they do not show up in the planning workbench. Has anyone else
had this problem
