Plant-Floor error

Hello,

Not sure if anyone still needs help with this but we had this
problem show up over the weekend. Going into license maintenance and
deleting the one that was "all zeros" (which wasn't there before, it
got added during a server crash I believe) fixed it right away. Felt
silly after realizing it's such a simple fix.

Hope this helps someone,
Z

We are looking to set up a few workstations to use the DATA COLLECTION licenses we have.
Up till now every station logs into a full license of Vantage 6.1/Progress.

Admittedly we do not run PLANT-FLOOR yet now we need it.
When I try to start PLANT-FLOOR I get the following error.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Is Plant-Floor the best way to use a Data-collection license for time-clock information only?

Thanks

You'll have to sign into the Vantage Admin Tools and Run Conversions.
I'm not sure the conversion number for that one but if you scroll
through the list, you should see it.

Babette,

By the sounds, you are on 6.1. Are you launching PlantFloor 6.1? If so,
are you launching PlantFloor 6.1 for your live database?

I suspect you are launching Training or Test PlantFloor. If I am correct,
all you need to do is launch a full license of the same database (training
or test) and log in as a security manager. It will ask you to run the
mandatory conversions and when done you can log back out and run PlantFloor.
(This is simply the first time you are logging into this DB).

In answer to your question, as of 6.1 PlantFloor is the only way I am aware
of to utilize a DataCollection License. To utilize the Live DB of course
you will need to create and use an icon for the live DB, but I assume you
were attempting to test first anyway and that was the reason for the trouble
in the first place.

Good luck,
Aaron Hoyt
