We have this same issue!
The problem exists because someone felt it was better from the material
issue screen to have the date remain the same until you exit the calling
screen (from Vantage that is the issues/returns screen), then it resets to
today. I presume this was done to satisfy someone that does not have AMM
and was trying to issue material for yesterday, and kept getting the date
reset to today every time they picked a new item to issue. The problem is
that the calling screen for the material issue screen in Plant Floor is the
Plan Plant floor screen, and it never gets exited out of, just logged out
and in by another user. Therefore, the Material issue screen, once changed
will always have the same date until you exit Plant Floor and restart it.
Development (in their infinite wisdom) calls it a design limitation. I call
it bad code. Creating a simple secondary window that comes up with it's
only purpose to call the material issue screen and reset the date would
solve the problem, but apparently that is not an option.
Either way, my solution is to have the Plant Floor computers reboot at the
start of each day 12:01 to 12:09 sequentially to be precise. I use an
AutoIT script to end Plant Floor (and anything else running) and another to
watch for the (do you really want to exit) window and click OK to keep
things clean. Then it reboots the computer and things come back up fresh
(with the date reset to today).
To say the solution is convoluted is an understatement, but it does seem to
work.
I tried to create an enhancement for this, but the result was "design
limitation".
If you manage to get any further, please let me know. I will be the first
in line behind you for a fix.

Subject: [Vantage] Plant Floor Material Issue Date
We started issuing material on the floor a few months ago via Plant
Floor (over a Terminal Service connection). Each morning when issuing
material, the operator must change the date to reflect today's date.
Plant floor uses the date of the last issue. For instance - today
(Monday May 2) the date came up as Friday April 29 because that was
the last time he issued material. Once he changes the date to
current, it will remember that date until he changes it the following
morning.
The comptuer stays on 24/7 and Plant Floor always remains open (enter
your clock number screen).
Has anyone else ran into this or have any suggestions?
