Linda,
Yes,
Using 7 EloTouch monitors for Plant Floor. I highly recommend the
IntelliTouch type that we use.
The user touches directly on the glass of the monitor. No overlay, no wear.
They can be used with a gloved hand. They can't be used with hard objects
like screwdrivers or hammers (though we have a chip in one monitor that no
one is willing to explain, but it still works just fine).
They require an initial calibration, but I have never had to recalibrate any
of them (over two years in service).
Users initially told me how they had tried shop floor before and how it
didn't work and how much time it took and how it was not going to work this
time...Once rolled out with some initial training, within one week there was
not a single complaint left on the shop floor.
Think of Shop Floor as the Ice-Cream, barcodes and scanners as the
sprinkles, but touch monitors are the cone that makes it all user friendly.
:)
Good luck,

Linda,

we use them(elotouch) also, in a very oily area and they seem to hold up to greasy fingers as well.

Linda,
Yes,
Using 7 EloTouch monitors for Plant Floor.
:)
