Plant Schedule Visibility

Never tested it and have to go into a meeting just now. Good question.

I will give you another spin on this topic. I would like to see changes to
the JobOper table to make it easier for us to write any Report Builder
Report for production control or manufacturing. If each JobOper record would
keep the "First Labor Date or OSS Tran Date" and the "Last Labor Date or OSS
Tran Date" along with the "Prior Operation Sequence Number" I could then
create: Any Type Of: Priority Dispatch, Shop Load, Stalled WIP, Job or
Operation Through Put Time analysis, etc... Reports. Also combinations A
Shop Load that shows Jobs Expected or Available etc...

We are a job shop that moved from Classic to Vantage and are very
disappointed with the Priority Dispatch List in Vantage. The one in In
Classic was so much better. Besides what is on the Vantage PDL it also
included material information (Part no. & Description) Previous Workcenter,
Next Workcenter, days late, and if the previous workcenter had started the
no. of parts completed. This was very helpful for operators of first cut
operations they could group jobs of the same material together, this would
save time on setups and was very efficient. We put in a suggested
enhancement to change the PDL to be the same as in Classic it is call#

Hi Everyone,

We are in the process of desinging a schedule board to be located in our
shop
to show the current work in house and due dates. This would be something
that is manually updated. It would not be any great detail or be used to
schedule, but to give employees an idea of where we are in production.

I am hoping that some of you have something similar that you can share
information about. Any input will be appreciated.

Pat,

Rumor has it that the "Last Labor Date" will be added to the JOBOPER record
with the next release so you don't have to skim through the labor detail
records trying to find the last date. I have no idea on the other fields.
Didn't you have a V 5.0 test DB ?

Marc,

We are also Classic to Vantage users and I would like to sign on your call -
please refresh my memory on how to do this? I signed on to the Epicor
website and went into support - I thought that it was in the eranet area,
but it will only look at my calls, not other user calls. I would love to
support you on this one.

495696mps and document # 3246mps. Sign on to it.

I print the priority dispatch report for each machine (three months out) and
number the items in the order they need to run, add any pertanent
information (material availability etc) and make copies of it for all the
lead people and management. I do this twice a week in conjunction with a
production meeting. It seems to work well for us. HTH

Thanks, Jeff Kelly
