PO Created for Job Material

Hi Karl,

Just wanted to know if you have had any problems today posting to the Yahoo Group? I keep getting 999 errors from Yahoo when I try to start a new Topic. Is anyone else getting this?

Thanks for all the responses. It seems that there were some twists and turns to the story. It would appear that the parts in question were originally created as non-stock and then jobs were created so consequently the parts were on the jobs as 'Purchase Direct'. A few POs were created and identified the purchase as 'Job Material'. So far, so good. Then the customer wanted us to lot track the parts, so they were changed to quantity bearing and the non-stock flag removed. But this didn't change the situation with the POs already created.
So, I created a couple of crystal quick and dirty programs to find all of the purchase direct parts on all jobs that were quantity bearing and unchecked that job material flag. Then I found all po releases for job material. I could delete each line at that point and re-create them. Problem solved.

Thanks again to all. -Karl

You are right...it is the non-stock issue...just uncheck it on the part.

If non-stock is checked at the part level that might have something to do
with it.

How do I change a PO such that the line is for 'Inventory' and not 'Job Material'? I removed the 'Purchased Direct' from the offending part in Job Mgt and changed the part such that it is Qty Bearing. I've then tried to delete the line on the PO but it kicks out "Delete not allowed. Referenced by at least...". Any thoughts?

Thanks, - Karl

That won't necessarily help you change it on the PO for this one though if
it was already receipted to a job you may just need to return it off the
job into inventory.
