PO Entry Customization

I'd experiment w/ the UD table then (or give them buyer rights & then limit what they can do thru db and BO method security).

Heck: Since it is a user field (and almost assuredly isn't inherently linked & updated in concert w/ other PO related tables) you could probably write a web app that would allow them to poke in a value via a SQL write (or some DTS process).

Heck: You could probably do that via .net code out of PO Tracker. The code would just need to establish the SQL connection and construct the record seek and field value write code upon a change in a checkbox control's value.

You'd be bypassing all of Vantage's PO Entry BO methods (so be careful!)

You cannot not unapproved/re-approve po's that you are not an authorized
buyer for. The people checking the box are not buyers and therefore cannot
use that process.

If you waste a UD table on it (rather than use a UD field in one of the PO
tables), you MIGHT get around the approved status edit lock.
(Never tried: Is it really that big of a deal to unapprove/reapprove?)

We add a check box to the PO Lines tab in PO Entry. The problem that is
occuring is we need to be able to edit the check box without unapproving and
approving the PO again. Is there any way this box can be editable after the
PO is approved? We are running version 8.0
