PO Entry in 8.03.403

No the logs don't slow it down the process of sends and receives on OE
10.0 slows it down. With OE 10.1 on 403 you get much improved
performance.

OOPS I see your on 8.03.403

We are still on 8.03.305j, hoping to go to 403 soon.

Do you think the logs slow it down much?, really would rather not
turn those off, we use them a lot to figure out who did what and
when etc.

In fact, we wish there were more logs avavilable like in the AP
Invoice processing and requisition entry.

PS: using XP client on megabit network.

Thanks Matt S.

[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
I am experiencing approximately a 45 to 60 second wait time to Update
(save) a brand new single line on a PO.

Is anyone else experiencing this, or would care to relate what their
save times are???

Does anyone think this is excessive?

Bernie.
Nope..two seconds here.

Paul

Thanks for the feedback :-)

My converted DB on test server had a BAM alert looking for a non
existant .p

We have set up Open PO's, that we continue to add lines over time.
Some would call these a "Blanket PO" even though Vantage 8.03 does
not have true blanket po functionality.

When we get to approx. 50 lines the wait time to save can reach 30
to 60 seconds. We have tried as many as 90 lines on a single po,
with wait time to save in the 5 minute range.

No BAMs or alerts, just have the logs turned on. We do not have the
contract PO module. PO's are for non-stock non-qty bearing parts so
no impact on MRP / PO suggestions.

Any idea why the wait time (save time) increases with the number of
PO lines? Any ideas on how to tune the performance?

Are you using 8.03.403?

After I removed the BAM Alert (and disabled the logs) the time to add
a 76th line to an existing PO was under 10 seconds.... that was on an
XP client connecting to server over a megabit network

Doing the same thing on 8.03.305 and 8.00.811 is painfull
