I am looking that PO Relase screen (and I even opend base) but I don’t see anything called ‘NeedByDate’
We are tracking that field in a BPM but I don’t even see it on the screen. Where is this date coming from and why is it in the table but not on the screen??
Field help says it, "displays the date by which the materials ordered on this purchase release are needed for the associated sales order, job or subcontract operation.
Note: If you are creating a purchase release for a Buy to Order (BTO) item, you entered sales order, line and release numbers into the Order and Line/Rel fields in the Sales Order pane, this field displays the Need By date for the associated sales order line release."
That is the way I understand it, although I don’t know any more than you do about it. It looks like if it is not linked to a job material, subcontract operation, or sales order release it wont be populated?
You may wish to test it. Maybe it defaults to the due date if it is not linked to any of those…?
Then is it always the same as your due date on the PO rel? I don’t think we are going to find an Epicor answer anywhere so we probably just have to assume it is being set to the value of another “like” field.
It can, if the PO was generated by a PO Suggestion. If the projected usages (based on Orders and jobs) would drop below the MIN, a suggestion would be created. Converting those to a PO will populate the PORel.NeedByDate
