We have a PO made from Suggestion to stock from demand 3ea on 6 jobs. The POLine is Qty= 18ea but when we change price on the POLine and save, the Extended price comes back = Price * 3ea.
Looking further, BaseQty on POLine = 3ea and never changes when we update OurQty, SupplierQty, Release Qty. Nothin. Sometimes Ext Price comes back negative
Check your part master unit of measure. Make sure that it is correct.
The BaseQty is the quantity using the suppliers UOM for that part. So if you order it in inches, and they sell it in feet, you will see the different UOMs here. Though that doesn’t help your issue. It sounds like a PO bug, can you reproduce it if you start a new PO?
Update: This issue was never explained. We do have possible repro steps and a couple leads to follow-up but we recreated the PO Line and stopped digging on this case.
The PO was created from POSuggs for Inventory for Qty3 - release LockQty, LockDates both true. Later, more demand arrose for 5xQty3. The user unapproved the PO and Changed qty from 3ea to 18ea. They did this for several PO Lines. Some line had the issues some didn’t.
Also noticed this weirdness on an affected part. Not sure it that’s a DMT anomaly or just a display issue on the combo. The client didn’t want to pursue further at this time so we have clues but no answers.
