Not sure if you did this - but the first thing you would want to do to
post to a closed period would be to go under general ledger, master file
maintenance, and then fiscal period. Double click on the period and
reopen the period, then try posting your journal entry.

Subject: [Vantage] Posting to a closed period.
In the help for closing a fiscal period is this statement, "You can
always post transactions to previous and future periods." However, when
I try to post a JE to a closed period, I get the message "**Fiscal Year
[YYYY] and Period [MM] is closed. Posting is not allowed." So, what's
the deal? Is help wrong, or is there some trick to posting to a closed
period?
