I would be interested in hearing your thoughts after implementing this.

Thanks...B

We are still analysing our information for maintenance cycles to establish
cycles, but we are going to explore 0 value sales orders with us as the
customer and then establishing Releases through the year to control cycles.

We no longer allow attachments to files. To access/share Report Files,
please go to the following link: http://www.egroups.com/files/vantage/
(Note: If this link does not work for you the first time you try it, go to
www.egroups.com, login and be sure to save your password, choose My Groups,
choose Vantage, then choose Files. If you save the password, the link above
will work the next time you try it.)
We also use Powerway but only for document control and auditing, we really like the package. What we are initiating for Preventive maintenance is through visual scheduling. The plan is when we create a job we add an "M" to the begining of the job number. Then schedule out the maintenance shutdowns. The intent being that maintenane is another JOB in the factory taking up materials and machine time.

I have used this approach with other integrated ERP packages, but we haven't
had time to try it yet with Vantage. How do you handle maintenance cycles?
In other words, how do you know when to create a job for preventive
maintenance? Is this data maintained off-line?
