Preventing shipment of parts from DMR / Inspection processing

Greg,
Maybe a little late, but in the Part Class you can set the Negative
action to Stop if you want as well.

Yea, we try to do that but since Vantage lets you ship parts from
inventory even if your inventory balance is zero it's not a hard stop.
I think the only thing that really prevents a shipment is putting the
part on hold.

When received to Inspection Processing, receive the parts to a
non-nettable bin. When the parts are approved then use a nettable bin.

Is there any way to do this? I know I can put the part and/or order on
hold (we ship from inventory not from jobs) but that would prevent all
shipments. I'm on Vantage 6.10.542.

You could put the Customer on Credit Hold, in the company configuration
you can stop shipping with this.

I'm new to BPMs but that sounds like it might be the right way to go.
Is that what others are doing?
