Preventing users from over quantity limit

The "End" table referred to in MES End Activity is in actuality the
LaborDtl table.

I'd like to be able to prevent MES users from ENDING activity with a
quantity above the requesting quantity on an operation?

I see this in the job warning, but after "enable shop alerts" users
are still have to enter a quantity above the operation requesting
quantity. I'd like to also completely disallow this behavior.

This would also be very helpful for us as well. I'm interested to see if anyone has any ideas.

It is a pretty simple customization (and I would guess also BPM) exercise to trap the entry before it is saved and verify the qty about to be reported doesn't exist the open balance due on the OP.

We have such a customization for MES Qty Reporting for our Assembly area jobs. Our Time & Qty Job Ops are all in our Machine Shop (CNC make to stock batch runs) and we use Yield Processing in this area - and allow our people to over-report if they've incurred above standard yeild from variable length bar stock material jobs.

As a result, I never tried to apply the same technique to End Activity - but I don't see why it couldn't be done relatively simply.

I enabled "Shop Warnings" and "Operation is Over Quantity," but it
only alerts the user when the Scrap is over quantity, and not the
"Current" is over quantity.

Shop Warning & Op over Qty won't do what you want.

You need to write a VB.net customization (or BPM) to systemically prevent over-reporting.

How do you access the "End" table (which is where is input is written
after "End Activity" is processed) to a BPM? This must be a temporary
table, because I cannot locate it anywhere during a BPM.
