I’m looking to bring into a BAQ the cost per line that is associated with a particular part. I looked at order Dtl and unless I am missing something, I do not see it. Do I need to put two pieces together in the orderdtl in order to get the number I am looking for?
Will,
Cost or Price?
Price is the amount a customer pays for that product or service (or the amount a vendor charges you for a product or service).
Cost is the loss to manufacture, obtain a product or service.
Due to the distinct difference in these terms I have to make an effort to get it right otherwise I get myself into confusing conversations.
Price is on the OrderDtl, both at DocUnitPice and DocExtPriceDtl. There may also be other charges on the line such as misc, Tax etc, and there are fields for each of those as well. So depending on what you need you would added up the appropriate values.
Cost is in PartCost table and the Cost Elements must be added up to get the Total Part Cost

Price! Sorry, LOL! For some reason the docextpricedtl isn’t pulling through. but the other one is, and I can still make it work. Thanks!
To complicate this even more…PartCost table contains the current costs
If you need the actual cost at the time a part shipped… more digging.
e.g. the PartTran table…
