We are starting our testing to move to Cloud in a few months.
Currently we save our invoices to a network share. I don’t think we can save directly to a network share once on Cloud. Is anyone saving or printing files to a network share with routing? I am looking for ideas or solutions to save these invoices to a network share.
Currently they save as a PDF with the Invoice Num as the name.
If you mean just doing a File → Save As, it will still work. Could customers get space on the server you can map like a regular drive. Other areas where you output files like EDI, BAQ Export process, etc still work, you just specify the UNC path.
I guess it would be like that. currently we have printing and routing set up to break on the Invoice Num so when they do a batch it is sent to Lockstep. I need to do the same thing but save it to a UNC path. I didn’t think UNC paths worked in cloud because Epicor doesn’t see our servers?
Correct. They have the Edge Agent to bridge that gap but I don’t think that will help here.
I’m not cloud but I seem to remember discussion here about being able to pay Epicor for a Azure File Share connection. Where you can store files and access.
Change your routing rule to copy (or blind copy) a shared mailbox when emailing the invoice. Then you have all the invoices saved in the mailbox. Not the same as a file share, but still searchable and shareable.
