We use all HP printers for the high volume stuff and they just plain
work all the time. I even have a 5 year old 5P that is missing a number
of pieces inside and it still pulls paper and prints. However, for
personal desktop use I feel that the HP 1100 series is pretty expensive.
I've been putting Okidata Okipage 8Ws on people's desks and they do a
great job for 1-3 page print jobs - for $200 even. Just my $.02.
