We would like to print receiving tags for our parts coming in each
day.
However, you must have a receipt line to print the tags.
We do not have pre-assigned bins for incoming parts.
Therefore, we are forced to "re-receive" after the part is placed
into the proper bin. We chose this option instead of placing the
part in the bin and then printing the labels and going back to the
parts to put the labels on.
Example of how it works now:
Truck pulls up to dock.
Dock employee unloads the truck.
Employee receives to default bin (label) so tag can be printed.
Employee puts item on shelf.
Employee modifies the receipt entry to show the actual bin the part
was placed.
Example of how it should work:
Truck pulls up to dock.
Dock employee unloads truck.
Employee prints labels by entering PO Number and puts them on the
part. (Something similar to Shop Floor for manufacturing. You can
print labels before you complete entry.)
Employee puts item on shelf.
Employee receives the item to the bin it was placed.
