Printing Tags from EKW

We are running Kinetic in the cloud and want to print Tags from Receipt Entry in EKW. I found a KB article on EpiCare KB0136001 that describes how to configure printers.
I was able to configure a printer, a Zebra ZQ511 wifi connected printer, and printed Tags. We are using a custom SSRS Tag.

I’m having a strange issue… Out of 6 tries to print, every other label prints on the printer. The others display on my workstation where I’m also logged into Kinetic.
I’ve tried printing to a different printer… some print on the printer, some display on my screen.

Epicor wasn’t any help. They said this is intermittent so they cannot trouble shoot. They said I have to find ‘a path in which this happens every single time’.

Any thoughts? I thought it was the fact that the Zebra printer is on a wifi connection and there might be a lag in it realizing the queue was empty, but the second printer I used is a networked/ethernet document printer.

What do you have set for the Workstation Method in Company Maintenance?

At the default of nothing selected it’s probably just basing it off of your username. The System Monitor polls the server for reports/tasks that have completed against your user, and as you’re logged in at 2 different terminals it’s going to whichever one polls it first after it’s complete.

You can change the workstation method to Machine Name + User ID to make it unique, I’m betting that will solve your problem.

I can’t say this is a total fix, but tests today certainly look better after the change mentioned above.
Only 3 of 16 labels were displayed on my screen. The others all printed on the printer.
