Problem with Zebra printer & shipping label

Brent,

I used to get this error also running Win 95 or Win 98 and printing
customized shipping labels. We have Zebra 105se label printers. Is Zebra
S-500 the default printer when you are working on the "Shiplabl.rpt" in
Crystal Reports? If not make it the default, at least until you finish
working on the labels and save it. The client does not have to have it as
the default printer. Is the printer driver set to the correct label size and
orientation? Make sure none of the text runs outside of the margins. Also
check the size and the modified date of "crpe32.dll" file if it's the same
as on other clients.
Let me know if this helps.

We just purchased a computer with Windows 2000 SP2 and I am trying to
hook up a Zebra S-500 thermal printer to it. I downloaded the latest
driver from Zebra and installed it but got the following error -
"Digital signature not found" - and something to the effect that
Microsoft has not approved this software.

However, I was able to successfully install the printer and print a
test page. I then tried to print a customized shipping label in
Vantage and received error 997 and "Could not load DLL procedure
crpe32.dll (3258)". I received this same error when I tried to print
the default shipping label.

I called Epicor and they told me to try different drivers, which I
did such as the S-400 and S-300, but none of them were successful.

I also hooked up an HP Laserjet 2100 to this computer and was able to
successfully install it and print a shipping label in Vantage.
However, the left and top margins were a little truncated.

Does this mean that windows 2000 requires all the forms to be
redesigned or some of the DLLs to be replaced to work properly with
Vantage?

We are currently on Vantage 5.0.337 and use Crystal v8.0.
