Problems running Crystal Reports on a terminal server

I took me a lot of hours trying to resolve this problem but finally found
it. The solution for this problem is a very simple one, just copy the
P2BXBSE.DLL from C:\WINNT\CRYSTAL and paste it into the C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32
directory.
Now you will be able to use de DBF or to preview repots based on DBF files
without having to enter a password.

Subject: [Vantage] Problems running Crystal Reports on a terminal server

Hi Everyone,

I have problems running Crystal Reports on a terminal server.
ItÂ’s not possible to open existing or create new reports based
on de dbf files that are created by Vantage on a Windows 2000 Terminal
server.

W2K Terminal server sp3
Microsoft Office 2000
Crystal reports 8.5 product version 8.5.2.844
Vantage 5.20.313
Progress 9.1D03
Vantage database server Windows NT4.0 sp 6a
Note all DBF files are stored on the terminal server “user\vntgwork”
directory

I have installed Crystal Reports 8.5 on a Windows 200 terminal server in
(application mode).
All users are allowed to use and are able start Crystal Reports. Creating
reports bases on
ODBC is no problem. But opening and previewing a default Vantage form is not
possible.
Also creating a new report based on the DBF files is not possible.

The messages opening a default report are;

first
The library P2BXBSE.DLL cannot be found
Please check your installation

Second
Cannot open Database

And third
Physical database not found

The result is an empty form.

The messages creating a new report are;
After opening and selecting a DFB file from the “user\vntgwork” directory
with the
“Find database file” a pop menu “Microsoft Access Password” will raise
asking for
the password for the directory “user\vntgwork”. Note all users have their
permission
set to full control for this directory.
If you cancel this pop up you’ll receive a Crystal message “Database Error’
File ..\user\vntgwork\file.dbf” is not a known database type. Please choose
again.

Hopefully someone can help me with this problem.
