Problems with Costs vs Stock Status Report

I had reported this problem in Nov. last year and receive this
scr41045 number. I think they are going to have stock status pull
cost from the partcost file when the parts are flagged as standard
cost. May want to talk to them and see if there is more info on the
fix.

Ok,

This one has me baffled and I am hoping that the group can at least help
me understand what happened. I am on Vantage 6.1 just to get that out
of the way. Here is my problem:

I recently ran a Stock Status Report (from Vantage) to get inventory
values on our purchased goods. We are in a standard cost environment
with no burden costs assigned to purchased parts. The stock status
report consistently shows parts as having a material burden cost, as
well as an incorrect standard cost. I know this because if I look in
Part Tracker under the Costs button - I can see a totally different
standard cost and zero material burden costs on the parts, yet the stock
status report shows differently.

In order for me to correct this, I was able to do a Cost Adjustment,
changing the standard cost by .00001 and then back again. The report
then pulled in the correct standard cost with zero material burden.
Unfortunately, this problem exists on probably half of our parts (4000+)
and to change each one manually will take more manpower than we have
available.

I was looking through the database conversions and did not specifically
see one that pertained to this problem. I would love to call support on
the issue, however, the renewal check is in limbo, waiting for Epicor to
act.

Any help would be appreciated, and if any/all of this didn't make any
sense, I can always try to reiterate.

Thank you for your time,

Parttran is the table for the stockstatus. The report goes back to
look for the last date the record was adjusted to get you the cost.
Costed bill or part cost looks at the part cost to get its
information.

Thank you for the answer. So somehow the costs on the part (standard
cost) got changed, yet it didn't reflect in the parttran table. Is
there anyway to get these to numbers to mesh without having to manually
go through each part. I am confused as to how something like this would
happen, but it did.

Parttran is the table for the stockstatus. The report goes back to
look for the last date the record was adjusted to get you the cost.
Costed bill or part cost looks at the part cost to get its
information.

I ran those two conversions yesterday with no luck. I am thinking I may
need to contact support (after the check clears) to have this addressed.
Does anyone know if this affects anything other than the stock status
report? It looks like every transaction is showing the correct price,
the only exception being the stock status report.

There have been some bug through out ver 6 that the trans records
were not being written when cost adjust was being completed by cost

There is an scr41045 that I received when I reported this problem
back in Nov. last year. What I think they are going to do is if a
part is standard cost pull the cost from the partcost table. I would
maybe talk to them and see what info they give you on this.

There is an scr41045 that I received when I reported this problem
back in Nov. last year. What I think they are going to do is if a
part is standard cost pull the cost from the partcost table. I would
maybe talk to them and see what info they give you on this.
