Coming from a Vantage with MS SQL background I've no idea of the procedure for restoring a Progress db backup to another Vantage db instance (Training etc).

I've searched and can't find any advice, can anyone offer some tips on this ?.

Thanks.
In a nutshell:
probkup ONLINE mfgsys <backupfilename>
prorest mfgsys <backupfilename>

Basically you backup your source/prod database. Then you copy it to the
location of the training DB. Turn off the DB and AppServers for the
destination. Restore it in there, replacing the existing DB.

Tada!
