Production Calendar

The "start" date at 1/1/99 has to do with the "year 2000" so the system
know it's 2007 and not 1907.
If I remember correctly.

No idea why. We implemented in Nov of 04 so the date does not coincide
with installation date. One of the cool things about being a programmer
is you get to come up with your own algorithm.

Why does it start at 1/1/99? Is that supposed to coincide with the year
we installed Vantage?

Thanks for reminding me to update the production calendar! I'm on
version 6.10 and the way it looks to me is each number is the number of
days since 1/1/99 (0=1/1/99, 1=1/2/99, 2=1/3/99) that are non work days.
For your numbers below 731=1/1/01, 833=4/13/01, 878=5/28/01 etc.

Does anybody know how to read the 'DaysOff' field on the prodcal table.

It looks something like this:

731~833~878~915~976~1056~1057~1088~1089~1090~1091~1092~1095~1096~1280~13
55~1420....etc

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jasper

Reminder to all, it's that time of year again. I just got an outlook
reminder, If you have not updated the production calendar for 2002 in
Vantage you may want to plug in your holidays, etc...

Hi,

No it is just the Vantage default. The system requires a start date
if you like, so all the calculations and upgrades are correct. May of
had something to do with Y2K issues, prep?

If a location decides to take an iunscheduled day off
and production jobs are already scheduled for that
day, will going into the calendar and setting the day
as a day off cause the production to re-schedule
itself after an MRP run?

Does anybody know how to read the 'DaysOff' field on the prodcal table.

It looks something like this:

Any ideas?
