Progress - Database Administration Essentials - CD for Self Pac

Patrick, you're probably aware of all the following, but I'd figure I'd take
the opportunity to post links to some valuable FREE progress resources.

The free 742 page admin guide,
http://www.progress.com/v9/documentation/database/dgr/dgr.pdf

as well as other progress guides:
http://www.progress.com/v9/documentation/start.htm

For those tough admin questions that aren't in the manual, check out
www.progresstalk.com and/or join dba@... (and / or some other peg lists)

http://www.peg.com/lists/subscribe.html

After exhausting these resources, I might consider spending $540 on a
training CD.

for Self Paced Training

I received the above listed CD from Epicor - Irvine today. Saw on Progress's
web site the cost for activation of the CD was $540. I was wondering if
anyone has purchased this training CD, what your results were, would you
recommend it?

I recently took a 4GL class in which they gave us working samples of
that training CD. Only a couple of lessons, but it wasn't
impressive. I haven't found training CD's to be worth much.
Donwload the admin guide from Progress's website and start reading.
