Progress: Is there a way to see number or records in each table

I'm old school - I use select count(*) from <pub.table name> on a per-table basis.

I have used the tab analysis, but find that I need it more frequently on a per-table basis.
Hi All,

Is there a way to see how many records are in each table in a Progress
database?

If yes, how?

We are on E9.04.507a.

I know I could easily see how many records are in one table but I like
to have a listing of the number of rows in each table.

Thanks in advance!

Ok, I mis-read what you were asking, you can see how many records are in one
table, but you want a list of all tables with their record counts.

In the Proenv tool, from the folder with your database in it.

proutil mfgsys -C tabanalys >> tab.wri

that will output it to a file named tab.wri in the same folder, open it with
wordpad and expand the left/right margins(I use .5) and it should give you
what you are looking for.
