You can run the patch from the workstation but it is applied to the folder
residing on the server. As long as you pointed the patch to the server you'
re ok.

Progress is the database that resides on the server. These patches must be
run where the database is (Generally on the server).

Should Progress patches for 4.0 be installed at the server or workstation?
I lost my test server hard drive a few weeks ago and I'm just getting
everything back together. There were no instructions or write file on the
Epicor site when I downloaded the 9.0B44 patch and I don't remember what I
did back when I first set this up. Traditionally Vantage and Progress
patches are installed at a workstation, but what triggered my suspicion is
when it asked to restart after complete.
If it does need to be installed at the server am I screwed or can I
reinstall the patch at the server and be ok? Vantage works but is it right?
Thanks,
Rick
