Project job complete

Hi,

I need help on the following message from Epicor when I complete a WBS phase job : The complete quantity is less than the planned production quantity.

Do we need to receive a product for a project job or I ignore the message?

You also get that message when marking a job complete, which has had less reported Qty than the Job Qty. In other words, “you haven’t made the qty the job is for”.

Ignoring this in job closing doesn’t seem to cause any issues. If anyone knows of any circumstances where it does, I’d love to know.

Thanks Calvin, I just wanted to make sure . It makes no sense to receive a quantity on aproject job.

We don’t track labor, so we never report qty completed. Just ship direct from the job.

FTR - This (what we do) isn’t ideal. This allows shipping before issuing the materials. Which then makes a an incorrect COGS entry (it looks like it cost nothing to make the items sold).
