Promsgs error

Todd,

I was the one that posted the question a few days ago. A reboot of the
workstation that gave me the error fixed it. I still seem to remember in
the past of entering the path to promsgs somewhere in the local system's
settings. From answers here and on the progress forums you usually see
fixes involving either making the promsgs file read only or full access. I
can't really make sense out of it either.

When I search local drives on the Terminal Server for this file I
receive no results. I get results if I include the mapped Vantage
directory and those all have MODIFY privileges. Any ideas?

I also met this error before. To fix this error is easy.
1. find the file "promsgs" by using file manager's search tools 2.
change the property of file "promsgs" from read only to writable.

I am receiving the following error when users attempt to open Vantage on
a Terminal Server.

"errno=22 reading promsgs file, it may have been deleted."

This occurs occasionally and I have re-booted the Terminal Server to
clear it up in the past and it has cleared itself up in the past. Anyone
no what this is caused by and how to work around it without a reboot?

Todd,

Whenever you reboot the server, there might be still connections, print
jobs, etc hanged. Check your C:\temp file where your vantage temporary files
reside.
