While not in the same way as with Progress, I would suggest the following startup and stopping, just to avoid problems with what is dependent on the other parts.
Shutdown
1- Service Connect
2- Appserver
3- SQL Server

Subject: [Vantage] Proper Shutdown Procedure
Hello Group!
Making the transition from V803 to ERP10, I am wondering if there is a proper shutdown/startup procedure that we should follow. In V803, we used Progress and someone at support once suggested a proper sequence to shutdown the AppServers and the reverse order to start them. Not sure if this was official or recommended, but it seemed to work well.
Now we are on ERP10 and have three separate servers (AppServer, SQLServer and Scervice Connect Server). What should the shutdown startup sequence be? Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks,
Doug
