Prowin32 error

Hi everyone,

I have one lan client that errors out of prowin32.
I have checked virus exclusions.
I have run Dell diagnostics on this Optoplex 270.
I have changed network wiring.
This computer is used by a power user.
She does all of our job closings and updates, labor entry etc.
It happen randomly and sometimes by itself, no keyboard activity.
I have talked with the help desk with no help.
Any ideas?

I just installed 814 patch to vantage 4.0 and when I double click on the
schema change.vtg I keep getting the error cannot find file prowin32.exe and
cannot find ini file. can anyone help?

OK, now it's Monday afternoon and this info may be late...

Do you need to do a schema change? After installing a patch I let
Vantage tell me it needs a schema change.

Did you restart Progress and Vantage? One mistake I have made
is to run the patch install and then try to start Vantage. If you have
used Procontrol to restart Progress or rebooted the server it won't
run. I don't remember all the alarms.

If that's not the problem, reboot the server.

Yes, I did all that but I don't think I need to run the schema changes cuz
patch 814 was already installed on vantage. and I never had problems with
vantage since I installed the patch except when I tried to run the schema
changes so I guess I am alright?!?
