Purchase Order due dates

hi Folks
we dynamically calculate sales order ship dates on specific make to order products using BPMs.

we then run MRP which creates POs required to help fulfill the orders

main issue is the PO due date is equal to the Sales line Ship date, which is to close for booking in stock and shipping it back out…

is there any standard method of ensuring the PO line due dates are a specific value of days before the demand in the Sales ship date?

I would assume something like receive time in site maintenance, but your best bet is to get the MRP Technical Reference Guide from EpicWeb and look thru the scenarios and do some rescheduling in a test system.

It sounds like your job does not have any estimated times on them. Or, all of your materials are tied to an operation that is at the end of the job. What do your methods look like?

These are all Intercompany purchases of finished parts so no jobs to consider - in this company anyway john
