I have no solution for you, only commiseration. We purchase material in
rolls, typically 300 meters, and issue it to jobs in mili-meters. I've been
battling the lack of decimal accuracy since v3. All we do is give continued
training to or purchasing and receiving people so they know how to deal with
the inaccurate conversions.
It's funny (wierd) that some screens in Vantage show 5 or 6 decimal places
yet other screens (like these conversion fields) only have 3.
Maybe somebody has a valid solution for this?

Subject: [Vantage] Purchase U/M vs Inventory U/M
We would like to purchase material in sheets and consume it in SI.
The problem is that the factor field does not have enoght decimals to
do an accurate conversion. The other problem is that the purchasing
suggestion gives us a distorted qty of what we should purchase.
Does anyone have a suggestion or another idea of how we do this?
Thanks - elka
