Purchasing Comments on Quote Entry are ready only unless marked Purchase Direct

Good afternoon,

We are trying to change the QuoteMtl.PurComment Field to never be set as read only. It is currently ready only if Purchase Direct is true, however there are times where we need to pass information to purchasing without making the material purchase direct.

I have tried changing it to to Read Only = False in the customization but it will not save that way. When I save and close out the module it reverts back to being a read only field, I have not run into this issue on any other field.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

@jhenderson Welcome. I would not try to fight that battle. I would add a ud field for Purchasing notes and then on update copy your field into PurComments assuming your testing shows that the comment will still come up in the PO suggestion even if not a buy direct material.
