Purchasing Question

We just went live May 1st and apart from the system being deadly slow I have the following problem in Purchasing.

Customer Service enters a sales order for a drop shipment of a purchased part from a vendor direct to a customer. This creates a purchasing suggestion however, the suggestion does not indicate that its a dropshipment nor does it give you any drop ship details etc...As the majority of our p/o suggestions are for stock replenishment we assume these suggestions are for stock when really they are for drop shipment.

Has anyone encountered this issue and found a workaround.

Thanks

Sean

As quality manager for my company I have noticed that when operators
are clocking off of jobs and are reporting discrepant quantities, if
they enter in the quantity under "Scrap" as opposed
to "Nonconforming", it appears as if there is no record of it. The
only indication that I am able to find is by looking under job tracker
on that particular operation of the job. Never, does the scrapped
quantity show up in the Quality Assurance Module. Can anyone tell me
why this is, and if you could, what happens to that scrapped quantity
after it is entered?
Think of it this way.

If you have the Quality Module.
Use the scrap field for items you don't want to inspect and will never
inspect at a later time as possible good product. You may have to destroy
one piece for testing or may have to run a few parts until the machine is
setup
properly. It's only on the labor detail record for you to run reports from
or view under labor details.
Most of us don't want everything to be forced thru Inspection Processing.

Also it in important to know: Under "Shop Employee Maintenance" there are
check boxes for turning on and off for each employee "Report Scrap Quantity"
and "Report Non-Conf Quantity".

Wow. Thanks a lot. That really helped. Actually, in our case we
ALWAYS want all of the parts to go through QA regardless of whether
they're scrap or not. But, no one here knew about the check off box
in Employee Maintenance, so we just unchecked it for everyone.
Thanks again!
