Purge Change Logs

First person logging in each morning gets a message to wait while logs are purged and I believe nobody else can log in will this is carried out. I made the mistake of setting the retention period pretty recent and no one could log in for hours. I learned to start fairly long ago and work it up a little each day until a stable purge window was achieved at the desired range. Purging several years of logs could take awhile.
