Funny thing is once the cycle is completed and done what does it matter I’m not sure. That being said we haven’t used Cycle Count maint since 2013 anyways. Is there a way to purge old cycle CCDtl records so I can do a conversion? I’m wondering if even though there are CCDtl records if it should be allowing it if the cycle they are attached to is completed or cancelled?
To add onto the open cycle count question, if you just create a cycle and add the part to it, does it let you or does it throw an error? I just dealt with an issue where a few ancient tags did not get closed properly and it only got caught when trying to add the parts onto a new cycle manually. We ended up having to get a datafix to forcibly close out those tags.
Yeah that’s what I had happen to leonard, and I was thinking if @jgiese.wci just does that and generates the error to get the datafix related to that issue, then he’ll solve his main problem indirectly.
Understood, unfortunately, in our case at least, all of the records showed closed and we had 0 open cycles so I just want to make sure they know that it can look good from the outside but still have an issue.
