You could set up a bin as being not netable.... inventory in this bin will therefore no longer be part of mrp etc. File structure wise not netable inventory is stored in a different field to normal inventory.

What version are you on? As of 9.05 it's much easier to set 'random' things
as allocated. In older versions it's a bit trickier.

Version 8.04. I see a hold function under the plant/part setting but not sure if this is what I'm looking for or if it is specific to one warehouse. Ideally, would like to block product under our QA warehouse.
