Quantity Adjustments

Since the index for the reason table is:

REASONCODE: Company,ReasonType,ReasonCode

You may want to create a calculated field equal to the ReasonType since it
is not in the Part Tran Table.

Reason Types Are:
Indicates the Type of reason. Can be "S" - Scrap, "R" - Rework, "M" -
Inventory Adjustments, "A" - RMA, "D" - DMR, "Q" - Quality Assurance "C" -
Service Calls "W" Win CRM "L" - Loss CRM, "T" Task CRM, "H" - Part On Hold.

In your case its M.

Then in your report link to the REASON Table using Company, then your
calculated field to the REASON table REASONTYPE field, then the ReasonCode
between the two tables. This way you are using a sorted index when getting
records.

I got that far Frank, what I am looking for is the reason code behind the
transaction. There is a table called Reason but in the Data Dictionary there
is no direct or indirect relationship with the PartTrans table.

I'm trying to create a report for Quantity Adjustments and I am using the
PartTran table. What I need is to get the reason code and description but I
don't know how to link it. There is a standard Vantage report in Inventory
Management called "Material Transaction Detail" but it only gives me the
