Additional Setup Qty/Hours in the MOM will add additional setup time to the job based on the job quantity. I haven’t used this, so I’m not sure if it will automatically increase the Estimated Setup time if you increase/decrease a job quantity after firming it.
So I’m testing this: I set up this operation with an Addl Setup Quantity of 5 and Addl Setup Hours of 1. I created a quick job or 50 parts and it added 9 hours to my setup time: (2.5 + 9 more lots of 1 hour)
Update the job quantity to 25 and Epicor kept the Setup Hours the same. It looks like this is probably only affected when you Get Details or use Quick Job (or MRP suggestions).
And for the costing folks, adding this additional setup did increase the labor & burden cost per part (can’t show that one, but it increased by about what I’d expect based on our labor rates and costing lot size).
Dude you went through all that for me, I appreciate it a ton. I will also test in my version about timing like you said… get details or when that makes a change.
@tsmith , thanks a ton. I played around with it and it works just like expected.
I just wish there was a way to do this for setup material per 10 rolls now haha!
I was looking for the same types of fields on the material. Every 10 rolls we need to load a new semifinished good on the machine to make the next 10 rolls, but we have to feed a set amount of that newly loaded semifinished good to get the machine going before we can start producing a good roll.
