Just delete the records in AlertQue. I'm (fairly) sure that's all that the
fix program does. I used SquirrelSQL but you should be able to do it with
Access through ODBC as well.

It appears that our email/alerts process wasn't running we just started it
but it looks like there are hudres of queued up alerts and emails that
hadn't gone out. Anyone know where this queue lives so we can go empty it?

Thanks

Is there a way to purge the Queue within Vantage? Or, did you use
other means?

We ended up gettting like 15 thousand emails. We couldn't find a way to
purge it.

Er, well, uh, ..., you can't do it within Vantage. Let's just go with
that...

;-)
I checked with Vantage technical support and they sent me a "fix" program that is supposed to clear-out the Alert Queue (good for level 403 and above). I am planning to run it against our test database. Somehow, I managed to accumulate 38K pending messages. I will let you know how things work out.

Yes, this is another wonderful "selling" tool that does not work as
advertised. If anyone actually figures this out, please let the group.
This would be a great tool if it actually worked as it is being sold.
