# Quick Search for Job Closing - 9.05.605 **Category:** [Epicor ERP 9](https://www.epiusers.help/c/e9/7) **Created:** 2016-11-15 17:14 UTC **Views:** 700 **Replies:** 3 **URL:** https://www.epiusers.help/t/quick-search-for-job-closing-9-05-605/36294 --- ## Post #1 by @Cathy Since we do not complete all jobs - the search for Job Closing - Candidate is not working for us - I created a BAQ and where the WIP quantity is 0. In the BAQ under BAQ Search I have included PartNum, JobNum, Candidate, Job Complete. When I choose the Return Column - I get an error "The like table ID is not valid.". This is the first time I have ever had a problem with a quick search. How can I correct this? --- ## Post #2 by @Jim_Lutz First of all, there are some bugs in Epicor that they have refused to fix for some time now (at least for me) regarding WIP that means WIP might not always end up as zero even if parts are perfectly accounted for. I would not use that for your test. You'll probably need to return at least Company and JobNum for this search. --- ## Post #3 by @Cathy Still can't make it work and I added Company as a like field in my BAQ. I know what you mean by WIP Quantity. I do not use the WIP Qty field on JobProd but, add up the PartTran for Transaction Type that reduces WIP. We have also found a problem with that field. --- ## Post #4 by @Jim_Lutz For your issue with the quick search, you'll probably have to ask Support. The WIP issue that I found stems from the partwip table when scrap qty is recorded with no labor qty. It might be able to fix this with a BPM, though I went other directions for other reasons. The Completion/Closing wasn't working for us either in certain circumstances, so I went to Support for help to determine what the criteria was for a candidate. Support just couldn't get what I was talking about so I received no answer from them. However, I deduced with some accuracy that the candidate checkbox (and therefore evaluation by Completion and Closing algorithms and entry in the jobclosinglog table) depends on the final operation for the job having the OpComplete checkbox checked. Of course this also means that a missing Final Operation on assembly 0 will also fail to process. I'm not sure what you mean that you don't "complete" all jobs, but some automated completion by auto-completion or BPM may be of assistance. --- **Canonical:** https://www.epiusers.help/t/quick-search-for-job-closing-9-05-605/36294 **Original content:** https://www.epiusers.help/t/quick-search-for-job-closing-9-05-605/36294
