Quickest way to make users have Read Only Access?

We’ve moved from V8 to E10, but still have the need to get into V8 every now and then, but don’t want anyone to be able to change anything.

What’s the quickest way to set users to be read only?

We have a trackers only security group. Assign a group such as this to all users or provide a generic login to all personnel to access this single login?

We did similar to Nancy, setup a menu folder with all the trackers only and
set menu security so that’s the only one users had access too.

And just relied on people’s good nature to not access something via the Right Click in a related field?

Can’t you just go through the menu and mark everything is tracker only
