Quote Entry -> Optimal Performance

Ok, so if we increase the client-side (quote user) hardware, i.e.,
upgrade processor and memory?

Thanks,

We have a user that is working in a quote which has 960 lines. She is
created Orders from this quote, but it seems unbearable slow. Epicor
says that since it needs to re-validate ever line when a new line is
created, it is very surprising it's running slowly.

Feedback would be nice.

We had that issue not too long ago, the culprit turned out to be a reference to a non-vantage SQL database (i.e., not mfgsys803). After the reference was removed, the speeds improved substantially.

Thanks,
Kunal

All multi-line/release entry apps (PO, Sales order, Quote) noticeably slow at 25 lines/releases. Much more than 50 & they come to a crawl.

Pretty normal.

It's all client side code issues from what I can tell so users of these apps can greatly benefit from the hottest PC iron & network connectivity you can muster (or afford).

We have a user that is working in a quote which has 960 lines. She is
created Orders from this quote, but it seems unbearable slow. Epicor
says that since it needs to re-validate ever line when a new line is
created, it is very surprising it's running slowly.
