We are running V4 on Terminal Server and users will
sometimes get the following message when printing an
RB report....

"Specified printer is not installed or specified port
is not available"

You can call for a canned Vantage report or Word/Excel
and print to the specified printer no problem, but an
RB report returns the above message. If, however you
call for a print preview first and print off each
page, it will happily print. It seems you get this
grief for a day or so and then it wanders off to annoy
someone else for a while (usually picking on the
boss).
Our outsourced IT say it's Report Builder, and Epicor
say it's a network issue.

I'm fed up with playing "piggie in the middle".

It's a Terminal Server/Client Issue - Check the name of
the printer on the client. If there are any spaces in the name
of the printer, remove them, and then try printing. That
is what solved it for us on most computers. On 2 others,
the problem is the print driver (HP 5l Printer), and those
2 pcs always need to print preview. Good luck and let
me know if you have any questions.

I don not know if this is the same on Terminal Server, but with Citrix
Metaframe, we were running into a similar problem. What I found as a
solution is to make sure that there are no spaces in the printer names.
(example: "HP Laserjet 4" would error but "HP_Laserjet_4" would not.)
