You might want to make the join from Customer to Order a Left Outer join. Otherwise you won't get any customers on your report who have not ever ordered anything. A Left Outer join would give you all customers regardless of whether they had ordered anything or not.

The Customer Master has an Established Date which might be useful
determining when they became a customer, unless you enter customers as
suspect/prospect before their first order in which case they might not be
considered true customers yet. Then you would have to do an aggregate
minimum on the order dates. You could also do an aggregate maximum on order
date to detemine most recent date. Totaling qualifying orders (total before
10-01-00 and since) to qaulify which ones to print would be just more
aggregates. Then you could print at the customer group footer and suppress
unqualified lines with a conditional print. Might be simpler ways (maybe
some filters) but this is how I'd start to go about it.

Value of orders for NEW CUSTOMERS OR EXISTING CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE NOT ORDERED
ANYTHING FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS SINCE 10-01-02.
Orders must be greater than $1000.00
and should be grouped by salesperson.
I think I am clear on getting orders over $1000.00 and how to group by
salesperson, however I am not sure how to grab only new customers since
10-01-02 and customers who have not been active since 10-01-00. Can any one
provide suggestions?
