Epicor told me to find the discrepancy and use the discrepancy reason code
entry instead of using the recount tags.

Hi,
Has anyone had any issues with Cycle Count Maintenance generating the incorrect tags for recounts? I am seeing it generate for the correct part number but it is generating a tag for the first Bin / Lot of that part if it is out of tolerance. It looks like it is deleting all of the other tags for this part.

We just had a mess with recount tags. I put a BPM in to stop them from being used. I didn't dig into the problems with it, but am curious about the results people see.

We played around with recounts and part tolerance - decided to go our old route and put a BPM / custom button to "void" a tag so you could enter a new one for the recount. Then when we tried to post the inventory we lost THOUSANDS of dollars' worth of inventory. Turns out our little workaround when we voided the tag (set tag status = void) also voided the frozen inventory that came with it. Thanks to the DMT Loader, I just pulled the frozen quantities that had a void tag and loaded them back in. Don't know that we want to do that move forward though! It worked for the weekend when we were trying to close out the FY but was a little gut wrenching getting through.

For next FY physical I hope to figure out how to use the system as designed!
