Description
Production Control Manager to manage Production Control, Inventory, and
Shipping and Receiving Departments.

This position requires a �hands on� professional, who is well organized,
computer literate and able to lead by example to organize and run a fast
paced production control department in a growing business.

Primary responsibilities include the creation of the Master Production
Schedule. Supervision of a staff of production planners who are responsible
for respective business units, to make sure that proper planning and
scheduling meets customer demands.

As the successful candidate, you will:
� Provide strategic development and implementation of material and capacity
planning systems
� Determine the manufacturing units-level material and equipment-capacity
requirements based on the total producible backlog and customer forecast
demand.
� Develop inventory-reporting systems for raw material, WIP and finished
goods inventory locations.
� Cultivate vendor relationships, in concert with the Purchasing Department,
to improve relationships and reduce costs.
� Initiate meetings with production personnel to develop productivity
improvement ideas.
� Be responsible for one or more data-collection systems to ensure customer
demand and internal material requirements are accurately represented to
manufacturing and procurement management staff.
� Interface with internal and external customers at the management level to
communicate material-planning requirements for one or more product lines.
� Establish cross-functional teams employing other company representatives
to improve and develop new planning systems.
� Review hourly efficiency of each production division then recommend
appropriate reductions in expense items, labor hours and labor costs. Drive
appropriate reductions in these areas across all production divisions.
� Review production plans and recommend appropriate changes to GM for
improved planning and performance.
� Establish and report company performance parameters to monitor the
effectiveness of the overall planning systems.
Requirements
Qualifications:
� Minimum of 8 years manufacturing production control experience and BS in
engineering, computer science, or business administration or equivalent
combination of both.
� Knowledge of Vantage or other MRP/ERP system
� APICS Certification
� Advanced computer skills, including database management
� Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
